Mill Rats Post Convincing 120-103 Win Over Niagara
(Saint John, NB):  The Saint John Mill Rats posted a convincing 120-103 win over the Niagara River Lions at Harbour Station this afternoon.
Saint John's Anthony Stover continued to be a defensive force inside out of the gate with 3 blocks in the first quarter.  One of Saint John's stated goals was to make things difficult for league leading scorer, Logan Stutz, around the basket. the Mill Rats led 25-23 after one.
In the second quarter the bench gave the Mill Rats a big boost.  Multiple three pointers from Corey Allmond, Johnny Mayhane, and Garrius Holloman propelled Saint John to a 58-47 halftime lead.
Stover's massive two handed put back dunk gave the Mill Rats a 74-55 lead mid way through the third quarter.   The fourth quarter was fun time for the home team as former Mill Rats ball boy, Mike Armstrong, registered his first professional basketball.   
"Proud of the way each of our guys contributed tonight in different ways," said Mill Rats Head Coach Rob Spon. "We are a really deep team and we're figuring out that it can be a different group of guys contributing in different ways."
Gabe Freeman and Johnny Mayhane led the scoring roll with 18 a piece, Corey Allmond 16, Anthony Anderson 14, Anthony Stover 13, Darren Moore 11, and Garrius Holloman 10.
Stover also registered 7 blocked shots. Saint John's bench scored 59 points.
Saint John improves to 7-4 and Niagara drops to 3-6.
The Mill Rats are back in action on Thursday night at Harbour Station against the Moncton Miracles at 7PM AST.
